Below are results of a survey filled out by parents of students who participated in a Healthy Starts program.
1. 93% of children discussed Stuffee at home.
2 .76% of families report turning off the television more often after participating in Healthy Starts.
3.78% of kids made statements at home about his/her lungs, heart, and digestive organs.
4. 48% of the kids spoke about the necessity of eating 5 fruits and vegetables a day
5. 68% of families surveyed report eating more fruits and vegetables after taking the 1-2-3 Challenge.
6. 66% of families report exercising more after they took the 1-2-3 Challenge.
These statistics were gathered from surveys distributed by teachers to families. This sample size represents 500 families.
